These scholarships will be awarded to students studying at UI and UGM who wish to articulate to Curtin but are unable to meet the University’s English language requirements. They are designed to support transition to new English language requirements.

Fifteen (15) in total:

  • eight (8) ELB (17 weeks) English Language Bridging (ELB) scholarships
  • two (2) ELB Intensive (10 weeks) scholarships.


Eligible courses
Students from Universitas Indonesia (UI) can choose from any of the following undergraduate degrees:

Students from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) can choose from the following postgraduate degrees:

  • Master of Urban and Regional Planning

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:

  • be enrolled in a Universitas Indonesia (UI) or Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) program that articulates into a humanities undergraduate degree
  • have a Letter of Offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree for commencement in first semester or second semester 2013 and meet relevant course prerequisite subject requirements
  • have an IELTS score (or equivalent) of no more than a 0.5 band or 1.0 band below the entry required for the chosen degree course
  • be able to commence ELB Intensive course in summer semester, 2012.

Selection will be based on academic merit.
