Students accepted at Kellogg College for the year 2011/12 undertaking MSc studies in English Local History at the Department for Continuing Education

Through a generous gift Kellogg College is pleased to offer the Critchley Scholarship, to assist students who are of outstanding academic excellence and who for financial reasons would otherwise find it difficult to study English Local History at MSc level at the University of Oxford. The scholarship award is made for one year, renewable for a second, coterminous with college fee liability.

Applicants must have been made an offer of a place at Kellogg for study on the English Local History MSc by the closing date in order to be considered for a scholarship. Selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • Academic excellence
  • Financial need
  • Potential contribution to college life

Candidates should submit a personal statement (of no more than two A4 pages) addressing these three criteria. In addition to the personal statement, the awarding panel may also refer to information in a candidate’s programme application.

Deadline: Friday 2 September 2011.
Value: £1,000 per year for 2 years.
