Applications are invited from eligible ECU students to apply for the Mrs Mac’s Rural Scholarship in 2010. These scholarships were established to assist ECU students normally living in rural Western Australia who are required to live away from home during their studies each semester.
Amount: $1000
Frequency: Once only payment
Eligibility criteria:
- If studying at Mt Lawley or Joondalup campuses, normally reside in rural Western Australia during non-semester periods
- If studying at ECU Bunbury, normally reside more than 50km from the campus during non-semester periods
- be able to demonstrate successful achievement in prior studies
- Financial hardship (usually demonstrated by being in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink allowance or Health Care Card).
Level of study:
- UG - Undergraduate Bachelor Courses
- UG HONS - Undergraduate Bachelor Course Honours
Nationality:
- Australian citizen
- Australian permanent resident

- Preference may be given to applicants who are NOT in receipt of any government relocation scholarships i.e. Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship or Relocation Scholarship

By accepting the conditional offer of this scholarship students will agree to make themselves available for ECU promotional activities in particular they will required to attend the Mrs Mac’s Rural Scholarship presentation normally held in September/October
