This is an exciting time to be at the University of the West of England. An excellent performance in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise reinforced UWE’s position as one of the leading and fastest growing post-92 universities for research, and this growth is set to continue. In a move designed to create a truly distinctive 21st century university, we are doubling the size of the main Frenchay campus!
We now plan to build on this success and to take the University into the next stage of its research development by offering up to 32 new fully-funded PhD studentships in a range of subjects that have been identified as areas of world-class and internationally excellent research.
